Sept 23, 2011 - Overnight Trip to Stratford, Ontario for a play at the Festival

WeMiata Club will be travelling to Stratford ON for the Friday, September 23rd performance of the musical “Camelot” by Lerner and Loewe.

(Optionally you may of course get tickets to any other performance.)

About the Musical:

In the realm of Camelot, King Arthur has created a utopian land of chivalry and civil rule. But when his beloved Queen Guenevere and Sir Lancelot, his most trusted knight, succumb to their passion for one another, he faces a terrible dilemma that will rock his kingdom to its very foundation.  This gorgeous musical score gilds a legendary tale of idealism, passion and betrayal.

Tickets range in price from $50 to $96, plus handling and taxes, and you can find out more at the Stratford Festival Website.

We will be staying at Arden Park Hotel.  The online registration is easy, or their phone number is 1 877 788-8818. Arden Park is a short walk to the Stratford Festival Theatre, but if you wish to find alternate accommodations there are plenty of options at the Stratford Accommodations Website.

We'll leave from the Tim Horton's at Manning Road and EC Row at 8.00 a.m., and will stop for a lunch break at St. Mary's, Ontario.  There are lots of dining options in Stratford so you can dine on your own or with the group (restaurant choice by consensus).
