Who?
Anyone driving a Miata is invited. You don't have to be a club member.

What?
WeMiata wine tasting tour #6.

Where?
We meet at Assumption Park on the Detroit River near the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor.

When?
We'll meet at 11:00 a.m. and start the tour at 11:30 a.m. Make sure you have enough gas, and bring FRS "walkie talkie" radios if you have them, and/or a cell phone.

Why?
It's Miata season!

Cost?

Free! (You'll need $5.00 for the round trip ferry ride.)

The tour includes:

- Wine tasting at a few Essex County wineries
- Some pretty good Essex County roads
- Dinner at Boblo Beach House and Grille on Boblo Island

Boblo Beach House and Grille

The tour starts in the parking lot of Assumption Park on Riverside Drive in Windsor. Look for the big School Bell sculpture near the parking lot. This lot is about a quarter mile west of the bridge.

Important! There is another parking lot about a half mile from the bridge - and that is NOT where we are meeting. If you pull into a parking lot that has two-tiered parking, and no Miatas, you are at the wrong one. Go to the parking lot closer to the bridge, by the school bellsculpture (part of Odette Sculpture Park).

The WeMiata Wine Tour - July 2008

Gail and I haven't had such a great time in, oh... about a week! It was a four-star day and the weather cooperated for a change.

If this is as good as it gets, that's OK with us!
